Friedheim reaches new markets after Vega Group addition

Friedheim International has been able to target new markets and cross-promote its existing kit following its addition of Italian firm Vega Group to its suppliers list in the UK and Ireland.

The partnership started in November last year following initial talks between the two firms in September.

Vega’s range of folding and gluing machines produce solid and corrugated board boxes of various sizes and thicknesses for all print sectors.

Managing director of Friedheim International Mark Bristow said: "We started up a brand new converting division at the beginning of 2012. One of the things highlighted was that in this major market for carton and corrugated customers, it is significant to have a folder gluer in your product range.

"It also gives added credibility to the other products that we were already representing in the converting division."

Friedheim International made its first major Vega sale when it sold a Mira 102 folder-gluer to Falkland Press, which was installed in January.

"The move has allowed us to more comprehensively serve the newer customers and markets we’re focusing on in relation to the converting division," said Bristow.

"We've already found by representing Vega that it’s bringing in other prospects for existing kit that we already have."
