According to Four Pees, the upgrade to version 4 of both PrintFactory and ProofMaster aims to increase colour accuracy and production efficiency for users of the software.

Included in PrintFactory v4 are the new PrintFactory WebFront online job submission portal, PrintFactory Production Editor and PrintFactory Flux automated file reception and routing tool, which will be available from March 2010 and is based on Enfocus Switch technology.

ProofMaster v4 is available in two versions, ProofMaster Certify, which is the out-of-the-box system for standard compliant proofing, and ProofMaster Plus, which includes a full range of tools for colour control and correction.

ProofMaster Plus includes a greatly enhanced Editor tool, which allows users to review and potentially make last minute corrections to incoming files.

The Editor tool has an internal PDF engine and can process most common image and graphics file formats. Its soft-proofing capability gives a color accurate representation of the job before creating a hard copy proof and sending it off to production.

As of the latest version, maintenance and support contracts are available on all ProofMaster and PrintFactory configurations.

They provide access to all updates and upgrades and premium support for the duration of the contract.

ProofMaster Plus, ProofMaster Certify and PrintFactory v4 are immediately available as a download from their respective websites. Pricing starts at €990.
