The new Speedmaster SM 74-4L replaced a 10-year-old model at the Dundee plant and runs beside a new Printmaster QM 46-2. They will be joined in spring by a Printmaster 52-5 to replace a five-colour GTO.
The firm has also commissioned two Polar 92X guillotines with pile turners to replace fire damaged machines.
The investment follows a 1.3m insurance payout after fire destroyed half a 3,000sqm warehouse, vans and paper when a nearby car was torched early last year. Production at the 50-staff firm's print factory next door was not derailed.
Managing director Pamela Kane, who won a Dundee and Angus business award last month, said: "We want to be at the forefront of the B2 market."
