The Darlington-based firm is set to take delivery of a five-colour plus coater Speedmaster SM 52 and two two-colour presses: a Printmaster PM 52 and a portrait-format QM 46.
The units will replace an ageing Heidelberg GTO and two Ryobi presses.
Director Stuart Shutt (pictured) said: “The Ryobis served us well, but we felt that Heidelberg really wanted to help us progress and was working to ensure we bought the right equipment for our market.”
The firm claimed the Speedmaster alone would save it 12 hours a week on having to second pass sealed jobs.
To feed the presses, MT will complement the investment with a move to metal CTP by installing a Heidelberg Suprasetter A52 thermal platesetter.
