ECRM Engineering and Polyester CTP division heads retire

The vice presidents of ECRM's Engineering division and its Polyester CTP division, Mike Zembko and Torben Rysgaard respectively, have retired.

Zembko joined ECRM in 1989 following 16 years at Compugraphic, where he developed some 35 products, including various typesetters, imagesetters, publishing systems and workstations.

For ECRM, Zembko continued a series of important product developments, such as colour scanners and proofers, colour imagesetters, thermal platesetters and violet platesetters.

Rysgaard, a 26-year veteran of the graphic arts industry, was closely linked with Esko Graphics' success from 1983 until the ECRM acquisition in 2006, when he was appointed head of the Polyester CTP division.

He will be replaced by ECRM's vice president of sales and marketing Doug Barr, who will assume responsibility for overseeing the management of the Polyester CTP business from 1 November 2009.

Zembko has been replaced by his deputy Dave Connor, who has been an engineering manager for the past 20 years (including 14 with ECRM).
