The division, based at Chateau-Thierry, France, produces 110,000 tonnes of recycled pulp per year, of which around 20% is destined for the UK market.
Sales director Henry Sauvagnat said the company was looking to double its pulp capacity over the next few years, depending on customer demand.
He said more customers were asking for FSC certification, which indicated there was a growing demand for the product.
"Recycling has a role to play," he said. Sauvagnat said that the Greenfield mill's pulp has changed the market perception that recycled paper does not look good and is more expensive on its head.
According to Sauvagnat, the Greenfield pulp was of equivalent quality and price to that made with virgin pulp.
"The certification of Greenfield will have a significant impact on the availability of post-consumer recycled pulp for inclusion in FSC-labelled papers," said FSC UK working group advisory service manager Amy Mulkern.
The Greenfield division is the fourth operation within the Cascades Group to be able to offer FSC products.
The company also sells its pulp into Japan, China, New Zealand, Italy, Germany and Spain.
