Buyer sought as CTD Printers falls to administrators

Sage Print, which trades as CTD Printers, has gone into administration, with a buyer being sought for the business as a going concern.

PrintWeek has seen a letter from Andrew Andronikou, of insolvency firm UHY Hacker Young, which was sent out to "all known suppliers" of Sage Print.

In the letter, Andronikou confirms that he, along with Peter Kubik, had been appointed as administrators for the Sunbury-on-Thames, Middlesex-based company on 25 January.

It states: "I will continue to trade the business under my supervision while I seek to sell the business and assets of the company as a going concern."

At this stage, it is unclear whether the company has already been sold or if there are any interested parties. Nobody at Hacker Young was available for comment.

Sage Print, which employs around 50 staff, is owned by former Wace director Mike Sage, who bought the assets of CTD Printers out of administration in November 2005. Andronikou and Kubik were also appointed as administrators at the time.

Sage was unavailable for comment.
