It costs 4,000 and was produced in conjunction with software company Ceti Systems. Pre-Press Tracker enables users to check the origination of advertisements and pages through standard web browsers.
Operating from a web server at the production or pre-press facility, the system can integrate with existing workflows, the companies stated. They added that no software was required.
Customers, however, have yet to sign up for the new service. "Blaze uses it, but we are just now opening it up," said Ceti managing director Peter Mitchison.
Production and editorial teams can upload pages, adverts and copy instructions directly into the system. They can also view pre-flight, comments, download PDFs and approve pages.
Blaze and Ceti also announced they had plans to introduce a hosted service, paid for by a monthly charge. "That will be aimed at publishers but there is nothing to stop pre-press companies using it," said Mitchison.
