The 18-staff firm has moved to CTP with a Topsetter 74P, which will produce plates for its new five-colour Speedmaster 74 with coater. A Polar 92X guillotine was also part of the spend.
The firm's second move in its 150-year history was completed last week after a month-long transition period, when production was moved to the new 1,200m2 Hinckley Fields factory.
Baxter director John Russell said: "We needed to get bigger premises and we were desperate for more kit."
He said that the firm was "impressed" with the move to CTP: "Just this morning we've produced 92 plates. That would have taken a week on the old set-up."
Baxter has a turnover of around 1m and runs a range of litho, platen and letterpress kit.
