The UKs two biggest magazines, Sky Customer Magazine and AA Magazine, each with circulations in excess of 5m, are both printed by Gruner + Jahr (G+J) in Germany.
Sky ABC figures are from the year under the management of Redwood. From its next issue, however, it will be published by John Brown Citrus (PrintWeek, 28 June).
Following the change-over, Sky magazine will still be printed by G+J, which took over from Polestar Greaves last year. But repro previously done by Electronic Solutions will now be done in-house, as will that of AA Magazine.
John Brown Citrus other top 10 magazines, Oranges O Magazine Group and O Magazine Pay Monthly, have circulations of 2,497,833 (down 31%) and 1,499,088 (down 8%), respectively. Production of the magazines is overseen by Pressing Matters, with print outsourced to St Ives Hunters Armley plant and repro by Zebra.
The remaining top 10 titles are printed by G+J (Safeway Magazine), Pole-star Chantry (Boots Health & Beauty and Asda Magazine), Polestar Watford and Polestar Petty (Whats on TV), St Ives (The Somerfield Magazine) and Cologne-based BDK (Take a Break).
Womens titles dominate the consumer market. Glamour, printed by Cooper Clegg, toppled Cosmopolitan, printed by Polestar Chantry, as the best-selling womens monthly, with its circulation rising by 19% to 520,193.
In the celebrity sector Now magazine, printed by Polestar Petty, increased its year-on-year circulation by 10% to 570,279.
