Q&A: Giles Foden, managing director, Quantum Print & Packaging

Giles has been in the print and packaging game since 1989. He’s 55, married and has a daughter. His hobbies include tennis (Quantum is a sponsor of the ITF World Tennis Tour W100 tournament in Shrewsbury), and also motoring and motorsport.

Why did you get into printing?

I saw that the packaging sales reps were driving Ford Orions and I only had a Mini at the time – and in the early 1990s printers were earning more money than I was!

What would be your dream job?

A printer in the 1990s

What is your dream bit of kit?

Any large-format digital press

In my youth I was an industrial dishwasher operator at a motorway service station
