Former snooker pro Anthony has now spent 25 years in the industry. He describes his hobbies as “Snooker, walking and Aston Villa”. He’s married to Tracey, and they have two children, Thomas (21) and Eleanor (19).

Why did you get into printing?

After a career in professional snooker, my options were limited. Prontaprint gave me a chance with no print or sales experience!

What would be your dream job?

A football agent or football reporter, failing that in reality, property developer

Who would play you in a movie about your life?

Tom Hanks, as he’s easy going, and doesn’t shout too much!

What is your dream bit of kit?

A time machine, or a Komori Lithrone GL-429

What would you most like to print?

The Aston Villa football programme

What is your favourite TV show?

Four Rooms. I collect sporting memorabilia

Who do you admire most in the industry?

Patrick Crean [Paragon Group chairman], a self-made man, and single shareholder of a huge organisation

Bat out of Hell by Meatloaf

What is your favourite book?

Bradshaw’s Guide

Cat or dog, or…?

Dog. Bertie is our office dog [job title ‘head of cute’], he is known to most of our clients

What is your greatest luxury in life?

My second home in Looe

What is the strangest job you’ve ever done?

Delivering the Yellow Pages

What is your greatest ambition?

To be healthy, and able to travel extensively when I retire

What’s your greatest fear?

Orders drying up and the phone not ringing

Only Fools and Horses

Gemma Collins. Very untalented

Most embarrassing moment?

Talking to a client when I had a cold, and accidentally blew a bubble out of my nose

Where would you like to be right now?

Madeira, enjoying the permanent sunshine

Michael Portillo, The Pope, Joanna Lumley, Tom Hanks, Muhammad Ali, Anthony Hopkins

Where would you go if you could time-travel?

To 1966 to watch England win the World Cup. I can’t see it happening in my lifetime

Snooker

What is the worst kind of print?

Any print that has set off, or has been trimmed on the skew

What was the best business deal that you’ve pulled off?

Becoming an approved supplier for the NHS

What advice would you give to your teenage self?

Chill out, work hard, believe in yourself and it will happen

How would you like to be remembered?

A caring person, who genuinely tried to help other people, a grafter and a good family man
