Xeretec to take raft of Xerox kit to Ipex 2014

Xerox reseller Xeretec has confirmed its presence at Ipex, where it will be demonstrating a range of the digital giant’s presses, including the flagship 150ppm iGen 150.

“Attending Ipex is a big deal for us, and in some respects we’ll be the David going up against the Goliaths like Konica Minolta. But we’ve always lived that way and had a tenacity to engage with the print production community. Of course, it helps that Xerox is number one in all the key markets across Europe, with the best products and service,” said Xeretec group production director Warren Beard.

As well as the iGen 150, and a number of software packages and services, other kit on display will include the 76ppm Xerox Color J75, the 60ppm Color 560 and the wide-format IJP 2000. The firm will also unveil a new strategic cross-media partnership at the show.

According to Beard, Xerox, which decided not to exhibit directly at Ipex a year ago, fully supports Xeretec's decision to exhibit at the show, where it will be taking a 110sqm stand.

“We went all the way to the US because we wanted the flagship cut-sheet device at the show, and they will be supporting us in terms of logistics and certain people, and certainly from a service perspective. So we have all the support we need from board level down,” said Beard.

“It’s really a coup for us to be there, in the absence of Xerox themselves and some of the other guys, it’s a great platform for us to fly the flag for Xeretec and demonstrate our support for our customers by being at the heart of the print community, which in March will be at Ipex.”

Last week, Xeretec was named Xerox’s Finance Partner of the Year and also Reseller of the Year, the third time the firm has secured the title in the past five years.

Xeretec is Xerox’s largest UK reseller, with sales of £35m and 135 staff. As well as its Wokingham, Berkshire head office, the firm has offices in Ireland and, most recently, Scotland, following its strategic merger with two resellers north of the border in 2012 and where it also opened a new Glasgow office last November.
