Tharstern outlines plans for PrintWeekLive!

MIS developer Tharstern has revealed its plans for PrintWeekLive! as it heads to the show as a headline sponsor for the second year running.

“The reason we’re doing the show again this year is two-pronged,” said Tharstern marketing manager Amanda Newman.

“Firstly, the number and quality of leads that we got last year was very favourable. And the second reason is because of the general feel and vibe of the event.

“Last year all of our executive team and sales team came back and talked about what a great atmosphere it was, and how it reminded them of the print shows of old – that kind of excitement and buzz.”

On its 36sqm stand, the firm will demonstrate its flagship MIS software, including new modules that it launched last year – Business Intelligence and Advanced Imposition, with the ultimate aim to help its customers achieve innovative production workflows.

Business intelligence, which enables decision makers to view their MIS data, uncover hidden trends and identify new opportunities, has gone down particularly well according to Newman.

“People are realising how much really valuable information there is in their MIS and how they can use that to make those important business decisions. It’s been a bit of an eye-opener for quite a lot of our customers.”

The company will also deliver two workshops at the show.

“One will be about customer experience, with a slant that MIS is a really good tool to help you improve customer experience,” said Newman.

“Our managing director Keith McMurtrie will deliver that workshop and there will also be the opportunity to come to the stand and see in action all of the points and suggestions that Keith talks about in the workshop.

“The second workshop is on integration inspiration, with the title ‘Making your workflow vision a reality’. It will look at some easy things that you can go back to your company and automate right now, and some others that you could create a project for and start working on right now. There are also some other inspirational bits that will give you an idea of things you could think about and work towards for the future as well.”

Newman said the 61-staff firm plans to send its best experts to the show.

“Our head experts are going to be there because we know it’s an educational and inspirational type of event, and that we’re going to get people asking for advice and ideas and looking for inspiration.

“So even if you don’t want a demo of the MIS, you should come and chat to the people on the stand because it’s a really good opportunity to pick their brains.”

The second outing of PrintWeekLive! takes place on 7/8 March 2018 in the Ericsson exhibition hall at the Wasps Arena, Coventry.
