Superior Creative eyes further growth with 2m investment programme

Superior Creative has undertaken a 2m investment programme that will create 10 new jobs and allow the company to offer the "complete solution for all marketing requirements".

The Melksham, Wiltshire-based business is creating a new design and administration operation and invested in an Inca Onset S40 wide-format flatbed printer as part of its growth plans.

The company, which was established in 1976 currently employs 130 staff and expects the expansion to allow it to cater for a broader range of clients.

Ian O’Connor, managing director at Superior Creative, said: "During the past five years Superior has undergone a major transformation where we have invested heavily in new technology and new equipment to enhance both our printing and our creative design services.

"Superior can now supply a complete solution for all marketing requirements and it is the range and depth of our service offering that has led to a lot of new business being generated, allowing us to significantly grow our business and invest even further in new facilities and new technology."

The investment in the Inca Onset S40 complements the creation of a two-storey extension to the company's main building that will house design and digital production as well as administrative staff.

Superior Creative has a client base that includes Heineken UK, John Lewis, Booker Wholesale, Noble Foods and Premier Retail Group.

"The growth of our business has been quite phenomenal especially when you consider the immensely difficult economic climate we have been operating in," said O’Connor.

He added: "We believe ours is a great success story for the West Country where we have been able to attract some of the country’s best-known brands which have helped generate a lot of new jobs within our company."
