Goldcup, who has previously worked for John Dickinson, R.T. Tanner and Great Northern Envelopes (GNE) is charged with developing and initiating key accounts.

Steve Allott, managing director of SCR Envelopes, said Goldcup was a valuable addition to the SCR team.

"His vast experience in the industry complements our existing team’s skills and I look forward to his contribution in developing the SCR brand," he added.

SCR Envelopes was established 11 years ago and has the capacity to output more than 500m envelopes a year.

Last year it appointed Martin Burton as sales manager of its southern office in Saffron Walden office.
