Burton, who will be based at the company's Saffron Waldon office, is charged with developing new business and looking after existing accounts.
He joins SCR with more than 12 years' experience in the print industry and has previously held the role of UK sales manager at Envelope Works.
He said: "SCR’s market-leading position and investment in cost-efficient, innovative alternatives to flat sheet colour printing really attracted me to the role.
"The team have a great reputation in the market and I am looking forward to working with a company that is committed to growth and a customer-led approach."
SCR Envelopes was established 11 years ago and has the capacity to output more than 500m envelopes a year.
