The Bootle, Merseyside-based business has upgraded its existing Xerox 5000ap machine to the 1000 model, can print up to 100 A4 pages per minute on a maximum sheet size of 330 x 488mm
Its new digital machine runs alongside a Xerox 700, a 250 and a mono 4112 printer.
Marcus Cummings, director at Oriel, said the decision to opt for the new machines would allow the £1.1m turnover company to offer a complete service across its digital, wide format and litho operations.
"We started as a repro house in 1976 but as digital developed, there was only one direction we could truly take the business," he said.
The company's investment forms part of a broader expansion programme at the 20-staff business, which is also set to update its wide-format operation with a new flatbed and cutter in the coming months.
Cummins added: "2011 will no doubt prove to be another testing year but we've taken a leap of faith and invested in new equipment, which will hopefully allow us to grow the company in the coming year."
Oriel primarily serves trade clients catering for a wide range of businesses including higher education bodies, point-of-sale and point-of-purchase customers.
