The investment by Bexleyheath, Kent-based business comes little more than two years after it "dipped its toes into the water" of digital print with an OKI C9650 in 2009.
Since then, the company has installed machines from Océ and Xerox. The brace of 8080 machines replace an existing Xerox 8000AP press and will run alongside the existing Océ machine and a 7000AP, also from Xerox.
According to Martin Lett Jnr, director at Marstan Press, the new additions give the company increased capacity and offer the business back up protection should either go down.
"We bought the machines from Byte Document Solutions and have been very impressed with the service so far," he said.
The 80ppm digital press is designed to cater for a range of jobs that include direct mail, booklet production, marketing collateral and calendars.
The printer, which can output onto substrates up to 300gsm, features a low gloss dry ink that Xerox claims offers a smooth matt-like finish to marketing materials, helping to mirror offset print quality.
Lett added: "The Xerox 8080s have an in-built spectrophotometer to aid better colour consistency and these new machines have produced excellent solids in our tests.
"They also have a wax based toner which produces a flatter print, which is good if you are not a fan of glossy digital printing."
