The press can output at speeds up to 90m2 an hour in normal operation, or 15-30m2 an hour when using its white ink option, which is twice as fast as the manufacturer's existing Manta printers.
The Gemini also prints grayscale in drop sizes from 6 to 42 picolitres, which allows for both precise and dense uniform solids. According to Grapo, this helps save up to 35% on ink consumption
Radim Kralik, chief executive of Grapo, said the Gemini brings "tremendous new business to sign and display printers" while maintaining an affordable price point.
