Georgiadis Colorsign installs Manta UV flatbed printer from Grapo Technologies

Greek printer Georgiadis Colorsign has said it will offer clients "a new level of innovation" after installing a Manta UV flatbed printer from Grapo Technologies.

The 18-year-old display and signage company has added the new flatbed to open up a new range of markets.

According to managing director Nikos Georgiadis, there are "virtually no limits" with the flatbed machine.

He said: "Point-of-sale advertising will be just one of many applications where we can put this technology to work. Checkouts are often the only place where cigarette brands, for example, can reach their target audience. The Manta’s ability to create unusual eye-catching signage is just made for this task."

The Grapo Manta can print at a maximum speed of 110sqm an hour on a range of substrates, including PVC sheets, plexiglass, wood, glass, ceramics and metal.

"With its 720dpi print resolution, the Manta delivers almost photographic quality with natural skin tones and sharp vibrant colours. Its quality is on par with the big-name brands in the industry, but comes at an affordable price," Georgiadis added.
