Clear Focus Europe launches new window film products

Clear Focus Europe has introduced two new products for the POS, interiors and retail window signage segments.

The Paris-headquartered manufacturer has just launched 24-Vue and BudgetVue to its range of printable substrates, which will be available in the UK through CMYUK and Pyramid Display Materials in the first quarter of 2016.

Backlit 24-Vue is 140-micron translucent film which provides two-way visibility on glass, acrylic and other clear substrates. When applied, for example on a shop window, the graphic appears on the front but those on the other side can see through it.

It features a 70/30 perforation pattern, where 30% of that is open, 1.5-mm holes and a clear, removable pressure-sensitive adhesive for interior or exterior mounting.

Additionally, at night, the graphic appears lit up when the lights are on inside. It is available in rolls which are 1372mm-wide and 30.5m long.

Meanwhile BudgetVue 1520 is a 100-micron calendered vinyl film offering 80% print surface. It appears black on the reverse but can be seen through from the non-printed side.

It features a 20% open area, 1.5mm holes, and a black removable pressure-sensitive adhesive. It is available in both 30.5m and 50m rolls in both 1372mm or 1524mm

Woodley, Berkshire-based CMYUK commercial director - consumables division Michael Crook said he had been in discussion with Clear Focus Europe, whose parent company Clear Focus Imaging is based in the US, for some months about stocking the products, to add to the range of 16 Clear Focus Europe products it already stocks.

"They've got a huge range in Europe and The States. In the UK they've not really had an impact. I think these new products will sell really well. You only have to walk around any town or city and see how many graphics are on windows to appreciate the benefit of these films as they don't block the light or the view.

"You can also use them for glass partitions in offices, they don't have to be used outside."

The calendered vinyl film is supplied with DuoLiner, the company’s universal release liner, compatible with UV-cure, latex, solvent, eco-solvent and screen printing.

BudgetVue is made in Europe and is REACH compliant. Clear Focus Europe serves customers throughout the European Union from its headquarters in Paris and a branch office in Germany.

Clear Focus Imaging spokeswoman Judy Bellah said: “These products are scheduled to be available through CMYUK and Pyramid Display in early to the middle of the first quarter in 2016.”

She said 24-Vue would cost around £7 and BudgetVue 1520 about £6 per square metre.
