The strategic alliance with Agfa has resulted in Canon making its entire range of imagePRESS digital presses fully compliant with Agfa's Apogee Suite JDF workflow system.
Canon will launch a further two models to the imagePRESS high-volume digital production colour range: the C6000 and C6000VP. It has also developed the technology behind its existing imagePRESS C1 machine, making it the first ever colour device with clear toner for the light production market.
In addition, Canon will be launching a range of imagePRESS monochrome machines, designed for the commercial print, CRD, transactional and print-for-pay sectors.
Canon's extended portfolio of LFP devices will also be on show at Drupa, with the introduction of the imagePROGRAF iPF720, which features a 80GB hard disk drive. Aimed at corporate users, the system's memory enables users to increase the throughput speed of printed jobs.
Drupa takes place between 29 May and 11 June in Düsseldorf, Germany. Canon's new kit, and its tie-up with Agfa, will be demonstrated at stand B46 in Hall 8A.
