Office products trade association BOSS has partnered with the BPIF to launch a free online directory of Covid secure products that can support companies’ return-to-work efforts as workplaces reopen.

The new site currently features around 40 suppliers and 20 product types, including PPE, screens and guards, thermometers, and hands-free sanitisers.

According to BOSS chief executive Amy Hutchinson, as the portal is self-service, enabling BOSS and BPIF members to upload listings themselves, more products and suppliers can be added daily.

“Within the office products industry, so many of our customers have been pivoting to help their customers return to work safely,” said Hutchinson.

“So, we thought, as trade associations, we could create a really simple matchmaking service for people within the office products and print industries that are looking to purchase Covid-secure products that enable businesses to go back to work safely.”

While only BOSS or BPIF members can list their products on the portal, any company from any sector can search the database to source suppliers.

“We’re very happy to open this up to anyone that is looking for these products, because it’s a way of promoting the good work our members are doing,” said Hutchinson.

As well as logging on themselves and uploading products, members from the two associations can also request BOSS to add them.

The portal was launched a matter of weeks after it was announced at last month’s BOSS online members day, with the process accelerated as the platform is based on the BPIF’s ‘Find a Printer’ website.
