Taylor Bloxham continues growth drive with new hire

Print and marketing communications company Taylor Bloxham Group has appointed a new business development director as it continues its growth drive.

Jason Cox joined the Leicester-headquartered company in the newly created role around two months ago.

Cox has more than 20 years’ experience in sales and marketing within the print industry, including 15 years at Greenshires, which he joined in 2003 as an account manager. He progressed to divisional director at the firm before moving up into his most recently held role of sales director.

“Taylor Bloxham has a great reputation for high-quality print as well as other areas such as fulfilment, POS and direct mail. it’s obviously a company that has a long and successful history, but which is continuing to invest and innovate,” said Cox.

“I’m very much looking forward to playing my part in the company’s growth plans by promoting the group offering of print, direct mail, POS, e-commerce and fulfilment.”

210-staff Taylor Bloxham Group, which turns over around £28m, has continually invested in senior personnel, its premises and new technology in recent times.

It took on a Koenig & Bauer Rapida 106 litho press in March, an HP Indigo 7900 in January and two Muller Martini finishing lines and an MBO K8 RS folder last summer.

The company reported its highest ever pre-tax profit of more than £940,000 last year, despite suffering a factory fire last May which impacted production.

The group is comprised of four divisions, all of which are based on separate sites – the main Taylor Bloxham printing wing, the recently relocated FastAnt division, which focuses on areas such as storage, fulfilment and e-commerce, POS operation Instore, and direct mail division Mailbox, a new business arm launched in January.

“The results of this investment and diversification are really paying off and with his past experience, Jason is the ideal person to continue driving this growth forwards,” said Taylor Bloxham Group chief executive Robert Lockwood.

“We’re looking to have senior sales that have got relationships with companies that can sell not just print, but also some of our other group facilities.”

Celebrating its 80th anniversary in 2018, Taylor Bloxham Group serves clients including Crown Paints, Bentley and BAFTA.
