Monday, June 21, 2021
Hexcite Group has supported its continued expansion with the appointment of a new group chief executive.
Wes Mulligan, who started in the new role on 1 June, has previously headed up a number of businesses across retail, leisure, and support services sectors.
In recent years, as chief executive of Danwood, he led the turnaround of the printer and photocopier supplier. At vending and coffee business Selecta he led the integration and alignment of five businesses into one to create a £200m-turnover group.
Hexcite Group non-executive chairman Marcus Moir said: “We are delighted to welcome Wes to the group. He is a proven business leader with a track record of creating and realising value for investors and I look forward to working closely with him to continue the delivery of our ambitious growth strategy.”
Mulligan added: “I am very excited about the evident potential of the companies within the Hexcite Group to continue to grow and exceed the expectations of our customers through innovation, multiple offerings and excellent customer relationships.”
Hexcite provides design, communication, brand activation, signage, display, and merchandising products and services for major brand owners and retailers.
Created by UK private equity fund Elaghmore in 2019, the £70m-turnover group now comprises signage manufacturer Blaze Signs, which was acquired in September 2020, signage maintenance company Cygnia Maintenance, retail display specialist Kesslers International, and wide-format printer Gardners.
Another Hexcite business, Shopfittings Direct, went into administration in November 2019.
