CirclePrinters signs up former Polestar director

CirclePrinters has filled the sales void caused by the death of Angus Jurkschat by recruiting a senior salesperson from Polestar.

David Gray, who was previously group sales director at Polestar, has joined CirclePrinters as UK sales director with immediate effect.

Jurkschat was diagnosed with an acute form of leukaemia last summer and died just before Christmas.

Chief executive José Camacho told PrintWeek: “We are very confident that David has the knowledge and the drive that such a position requires. For us the UK market is a very important and strategic one and we have always had a ‘heavyweight’ sales director there with Angus.

“It was not easy to find a replacement but we are very happy to have David on board,” he added.

david-grayGray (pictured above) was still employed by Polestar at the beginning of this month and had spent 13 years at the group. He became sales director in 2011. PrintWeek was unable to reach him for comment at the time of writing.

CirclePrinters is headquartered in Amsterdam and has gravure and web offset printing facilities across the continent, with plants in Austria, Belgium, Finland, Germany and Spain.

The €320m (£250m) turnover group’s biggest markets are retail flyers, magazines, and catalogues. It employs around 1,500 staff.
