Tradeprint aiming for interactive PrintWeekLive!

Tradeprint has signed up for PrintWeekLive! and is looking to present more of an interactive offering than it has at previous trade shows.

The Dundee-based trade printer, which was acquired by global web-to-print giant Cimpress in 2015, signed up for the show last week, but head of marketing James Barrett-Bunnage said it had been considering exhibiting since the show was first announced. PrintWeekLive! will take place on 8-9 March 2017 at the Wasps Arena, Coventry. 

Barrett-Bunnage was tight-lipped about what Tradeprint will be exhibiting on its 20sqm stand, referring to it as a “deeply hidden trade secret”, but he said it would be a development from previous shows and that it would be looking to make its offering far more interactive. 

“We are looking to talk to our current customers, to meet new customers and to obviously put our print out there and meet people,” said Barrett-Bunnage.

“We are quite evangelical about what we do so we really want to be promoting what we think is a fantastic service and quality proposition, emphasising the fact that we are not a faceless corporation, we are real, friendly people who can talk jargon but can also talk straight.”

He added that even though Tradeprint isn’t hosting a workshop, the learning aspect will be an important part of the show.

It is likely that Tradeprint will be showing its bespoke-size display board service, which it claims is a rare offering in the UK.

A former PrintWeek Company of the Year Award-winner, Tradeprint produces work including flyers, leaflets, business cards and posters, and runs a 10-colour Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 and an eight-colour KBA Rapida 106.

Last week, Cimpress announced that it had teamed its Tradeprint and Exaprint UK businesses together.

The 150-staff business currently operates from two sites in Dundee: one for sales and marketing and one main production unit.
