InSoft’s layout planning and automation software has supported ZCC integration for several years, this latest update to support v4 of the industry-leading digital cutting software reaffirms its commitment to delivering reliable, cutting-edge compatibility with evolving digital cutting workflows.
With full support for the ZCC file format, InSoft’s software allows users to generate production ready .zcc files, allowing for direct job submission and retrieval of critical production data such as estimated cutting times. This seamless data exchange facilitates improved production planning and real-time monitoring, ensuring optimal cutter utilisation and reduced manual intervention.
InSoft Automation’s flagship layout planning software, Imp, is a proven solution for cost-based optimisation and intelligent imposition. It automates complex layout challenges such as nesting, imposition, ganging, and die-line management.
Imp v14 empowers printers to consolidate to a single platform, with exports able to be imposed as PDFs or JDFs for print and/or cutting, JDF or PPF for guillotine cutters and die-layouts in either CF2, DXF, PDF, or PLT as well as Zünd’s ZCC format.
As a result of this flexibility, applications range from wide-format, labels and packaging to books. With features covering space ganging of signatures, integration with automated bindery and digital embellishment solutions enhanced through hot-folder automation, REST APIs, and Enfocus Switch compatibility – meaning the first time a file is ‘touched’ is when it is sent to the print device.
This combination of applications and features ensures seamless integration into any modern print workflow.
