Intended for the sheetfed market, the PressMax Founts range consists of eight products. These can be split into two groups of four, with the founts available in both conventional and alcohol-free versions.
Although there is an environmentally friendly aspect to the range, the selections of founts do consider the complexities of switching to alcohol-free production.
“Becoming alcohol-free can be a complex process and it is not for every printer,” said Graham Leeson, marketing manager at Fujifilm.
Because of this, the alcohol-free versions have been designed to mirror the range’s conventional solutions in order to help printers make the move to more environmentally friendly print production at their own speed.
Each solution has a range of different attributes and offers a range of different benefits. PressMax SF 6104 is a standard fount suitable for all dampening systems that provides a good ink and water balance, whereas SF 6106 is suitable for very hard water areas.
SF 6111 Ecodry offers environ-mentally friendly accelerated drying for low-absorbency substrates and SF Pro-T is recommended for in-press development of Brillia HD Pro-T.
“Often printers stick to a fount solution that they are familiar with. However, changing products can bring benefits, such as using less water. We have tweaked our solutions over the years in order to offer printers such benefits,” said Leeson.
