“We’ve ridden the economic waves over the last 32 years and are proud to be still offering a fast and reliable service,” says sales director Laurence Hobbs.

Founded in 1991, Brightside Print & Design originally began life as a typesetting company, but as the industry changed the firm adapted and invested in printing machinery.

Where are you based?
Over the past 20 years Brightside Print & Design has had several premises across London, but now we’re firmly and comfortably planted in Stratford, benefiting from the Olympic Park Legacy

How many staff do you have?
Nine

Which geographic areas do you serve?
Our predominant trade is within London, but we have often had deliveries going nationwide and internationally as well

What does your firm do?
We cover all of the print bases. Company collateral, through to event materials and promotional merchandise. We specialise in quick turnaround problem solving. Our other services include design, digital marketing, website design and development, and branded merchandise.

What’s your typical customer?
Nine times out of 10, our typical customer is someone with their back against the wall with respect to lead time. We operate within the fast-paced, same-day print service market

Who are your clients?
We don’t have a particular niche of clients, it varies from blue chips to start-ups

What’s your USP?
Digital, quick turnaround services – problem solving essentially. That’s the world we live in. We are small and can be light on our feet. We can react to those phone calls that come in late on a Friday afternoon!

What’s been your proudest achievement in recent years?
Surviving Covid. People were dropping like flies around us

Where do you see your business in five years’ time?
Hopefully still within London, with larger premises and more efficient machinery

What’s your team’s favourite biscuit?
Chocolate Hobnobs. Not even up for debate
