NoeCha launches new roll printer family at Fespa

NoeCha has launched its second range, the Roll2 – a roll-to-roll inkjet printer for textile, packaging and signage markets.

Joining the Italian manufacturer’s NoeCha One UV flatbed, the 1.8m-wide Roll2 comes in three different configurations with prices starting at €600,000.

For sublimation paper printing, the eight-colour Roll2S prints at speeds up to 1,530sqm/hour – as does the four-colour Roll2Roll which uses either UV-LED curable or waterbased inks to print onto both cardboard and blueback paper.

A third configuration, the Roll2Textile, prints up to eight colours directly to textiles using acid, reactive or pigmented inks at speeds up to 850sqm/hour.

Speaking on stand 1.1-A30, marketing manager Stephanie Duvivier said: “We are a young and small company, but we have come to Fespa 2018 with big machines. It is our third year and we always bring along something new, and this year that means a new machine.

“I am happy to see our name is growing in the market and customers are looking to our precision and the fact our machines fill a specific role as an alternative to our rivals.”

Plans for 2.5m and 3.5m versions of the Roll2 are on the cards, though Duvivier said they would likely not be ready until next year.

Designed for industrial printing and non-stop production, the Roll2 is being positioned in the mid-range of the market and is built to serve applications for the fashion, interior decoration, packaging and signage industry.

So far, a single firm in Northern Italy has signed for the Roll2 and will take delivery of the new machine shortly after Fespa. NoeCha has now started taking orders for the machine and expects to deliver them in three to six months.

“We want input from customers on what they want from this machine over the next few days,” said Duvivier.
