Nifty roll lifter shown at Fespa

A new version of a clever, low-cost hydraulic roll lifter is having its European debut at Fespa Digital.

US manufacturer On-a-Roll Lifter (B2-369) is showing a new model of its eponymous device, which can lift rolls up to 400kg in weight, and up to 5m wide.

It is targeted at anyone needing to lift wide or heavy rolls.

The $1,500 (€1,100) device comes in three versions: the 61560 handles rolls up to 2.5m wide, the 61562 is suitable for rolls of up to 5m.

The third version also handles 5m wide rolls but has a low-profile fork clearance of 90mm to allow it to go underneath Durst and Agfa printers.

The lifter is simple to operate and highly manoeuverable as its heavy-duty casters can turn through 360 degrees.

“It can negotiate tight corners and doorways, and is ideal for busy printshops where there isn’t much space,” said president Ted Borowsky, pictured below demonstrating the lifter. “It reduces the risk of strains and lifting injuries and increases efficiency.”

The firm is seeking to appoint additional distributors across the EAMER region.

Ultraflex Europe distributes the lifter in England.
