International Graphic Supplies (IGS) has launched a new CAD/CAM packaging software aimed at litho and signage printers looking to move into the packaging market.

Titanium PS offers a wide-ranging library of packaging and POS designs that IGS said would equip businesses without a packaging specialist with the tools they need to speed up and automate packaging and POS design and production.

The software’s nesting option automatically maximises the planning and imposition software process, unlocking productivity improvements to save time and reduce waste, “with a seamless interface between pre-press data and production data”.

The software is compatible with both desktop and cloud platforms and integrates with Adobe Illustrator.

The 3D viewing application offers a full 360-degree view of the design structure before production. A QR code is generated from the 3D model and can be sent to the client to view, saving time and money in product development.

IGS managing director Peter Flynn said: “One of the main drivers of the brand owner is to view the new design as early as possible in the process.

“Previously people would work in isolation, but brand owners and retailers have recognised that if you design in a holistic way you will make much better packaging in a shorter space of time.”

The software, which Flynn said would also be of benefit to IGS’ Titanium digital cutter customer base, is available for an annual subscription fee of £1,000.
