HP PageWide wins design award

HP has won a design award for its PageWide XL portfolio after judges decided it enabled users to maximise efficiency and was easy to use.

The printer range won a 2016 iF Gold ‘Best of Best’ Design Award for industrial design on 26 February at a ceremony in Munich, Germany, for its commercially-available 1,016mm-wide PageWide XL 4000, 4500 and 8000 printers.

This year the XL 8000 will have pride of place at HP’s Hall 1 (H40) Fespa stand, alongside a Scitex FB750 industrial printer, a collection of DesignJets and four of the company’s Latex machines: the 310, 360, 370 and 3500 models.

HP is also showing its web-to-print platform for SMEs in the decoration space, the WallArt Suite which is developed for Latex users. It said this is the first W2P platform to integrate everything from design to quotes to customer orders.

The iF Design Awards had more than 5,300 entries by 2,450 participants from 53 countries.
