Elitron focuses on industrial automation with Heleva and cutting kit

Elitron’s innovative Heleva automatic feeding system is proving a hit with industrial-scale wide-format printers.

The Italian manufacturer introduced Heleva at Fespa Digital last year. It now has three installs with another six in the pipeline.

“Initially the market was surprised about this product. Now, they understand the flexibility of the solution,” said managing director Daniele Gallucci. “It’s not just a simple feeder, it’s a flexible, smart feeder because it communicates with the printer.”

Also on the firm’s booth (6-T50) is a Kombo SD2 cutter with camera projection and ‘Seeker System’, which recognises jobs even if placed randomly on the bed. "It's also a great way to use up scraps, if you have costly material," Gallucci added.

A Kombo TH with two independent heads and Twin Cut system is also on show. The software controlling the device divides jobs up to achieve maximum throughput.

“It’s like having two machines in one. We are trying to simplify the job for the user,” Gallucci said. “The market is starting to understand Elitron for what it is and what we can do for their business. We were just one among others, now we are the competitor not just a competitor.”
