Shrewsbury site: showroom will operate a "single company experience"

CMYUK will reopen its demonstration and training centre next week.

The Shrewsbury facility will be open again from Monday 15 June.

Group director Robin East said he was delighted to be able to welcome customers to the site again.

“We have taken all necessary steps and more so that customers can consider future investments and new solutions in the safest and most satisfying way. CMYUK is in this for the long haul and we will continue to support the industry in the best way possible.”

CMYUK said that the large size of the showroom – which it believes is the biggest in the UK – had made it possible to implement the required social distancing measures.

“Under its newly devised COVID-19 Safety Etiquette, CMYUK will operate a single company experience, ensuring that only customers from the same business are visiting at any one time. CMYUK will also provide all necessary hygiene and protection requirements for effective housekeeping,” the firm said.

The showroom is equipped with kit from a wide range of manufacturers including EFI, Esko, Mimaki, Klieverik, HP and Graphtec, alongside complimentary software systems. There is also a large portfolio of materials on-site.

Last month CMYUK launched a new range of safeguarding products under the ‘Safer Spaces’ name. The range includes printable floor materials for indoor and outdoor use, specialist floor tapes, anti-bacterial materials and textiles.

The firm is also supplying ready-to-wear masks and healthcare gowns from German textile partner Pongs.

“CMYUK Textiles has secured a substantial UK stock provision of 300,000 non-permeable, protective healthcare gowns and 1.5m community grade facemasks per week,” the firm stated.
