Azonprinter launches Matrix Series 2

Croatian manufacturer Azonprinter has debuted Matrix Series 2, a new 1.1x1.2m UV printer, at Fespa.

Capable of handling substrates up to 200mm thick, the eight-channel machine (CMYK plus double white and double varnish or CMYK plus four white channels) can achieve 720dpi resolution at a maximum speed of 15sqm/hr in draft mode.

The machine uses Azon RIP software and meets the EN 71-3 standard, which ensures it is safe to use for children’s toys.

Azonprinter head of R&D Dražen Mileusnic said: “This machine uses UV ink and a UV lamp for curing. It is mostly for signage and some industrial applications; you can print practically on anything using different primers and after-coats.”

Commercially available immediately, the company is taking orders for the machine from Fespa and said lead times are around three to five weeks.

Azonprinter is also showing a model from its recently launched Matrix R series.

Available in three bed size options, 0.8x1.6m, 1.6x2.5m and 1.6x3.2m, these machines can print at speeds of up to 25.8sqm/hr onto substrates up to 250mm high and can handle heavy materials weighing up to 100kg for indoor, outdoor and industrial applications.

Azonprinter is exhibiting at stand B6-A16 at Fespa, which is taking place at Messe Munich Germany until Friday (17 May). Atlantic Tech Services is Azonprinter’s UK distributor.
