Tauro: new module will have its debut at Fespa

Agfa will show a new compact roll-to-roll printing module for its high-speed Jeti Tauro H3300 UHS LED wide-format printer at the upcoming Fespa Global Print Expo show.

The new Flex RTR device matches the Tauro’s top speed of 905sqm/hour and can handle single and dual-roll printing, with a maximum roll weight of 450kg. It doesn’t need to be undocked when switching from rolls to sheeted media.

Dieter Jancart, segment manager for high-end inkjet systems at Agfa, said that automation was at the heart of the firm's development plans in inkjet printing.

“Depending on a company’s specific job types and printing requirements, we will offer a tailored solution that will ensure the most efficient handling of their workload, regardless of whether it involves rigid or flexible substrates, or a combination of both,” he said.

The new module is available immediately.

Agfa has dubbed the Jeti Tauro “the beast” due to its heavy-duty construction aimed at 24/7 production requirements. It uses an integrated camera and QR code system for accurate double-sided printing, even if printing is interrupted.

Fespa Global Print Expo takes place from 23-26 May at the Munich Messe exhibition centre. Agfa is on booth B2-D15.
