One word that describes Ipex South Asia?
Good. We got to see what we came to see.
Which Indian stall did you like the best?
Hi-Tech Systems .
If we gave you a blank cheque what would you buy at Ipex South Asia?
I have a Ricoh C901s, which I am very happy with. I would buy another device for sure.
If you could be born either a great print technocrat + expert or a very rich print CEO, which one would you choose?
Print CEO. I’ve been one for the last 15 years.
Choose: offset or digital?
CMYK. I know very little about RGB.
The one thing print software do which they didn’t do ten years ago?
I am a digital print specialist. Today software allows for colour corrections and finishing, very easily.
You have to produce a print job on the show ground. Choose a technology.
It would be digital. Of the 15 years, I’ve been producing production colour prints for the last five years in digital. I’ve gone from 30,000 ppm per month five years ago to six-lakh ppm today.
What’s your idea of a perfect print trade show?
One that is balanced. Has offset, digital and covers all areas of print.
Your favourite print personality?
Hitesh Shah of KCL Imaging, Surat.
The next print trade show you are looking forward to?
Pamex 2011.
If you were the last printer left on earth, what would you do?
I would encourage players in other industries to start digital print companies. If you see, there’s hardly any investment being done by players from other industries into the print industry.
