The new leased site, which has more than 3,700sqm of space, is located at the Bingswood Industrial Estate in Whaley Bridge, in the High Peak district of Derbyshire. The company’s previous site, in nearby New Mills, had just over 1,110sqm space.
The business described the move as “a significant milestone” that was a direct result of customer demand, allowing for increased efficiency, expanded capacity, and a more modern workspace to better serve its growing customer base. All of the company’s 23 staff have moved over to the new site.
Sales director Adam Ormrod said: “The move was incredibly smooth, and production was not interrupted at all during the three months from January 2025 that it has taken to transition.
“This is a great testament to the dedication and commitment of our strong and loyal team, many of whom have given up their weekends to assist in the move.”
As part of a total investment of around £700,000, the business has also taken on a new press from Nilpeter to help it to cope with demand.
This machine joins existing flexo presses from Mark Andy, Flexor sheeters, KDO presses, hot foiling devices, box makers, and turret machines – with a new turret also on order, among a raft of other specialist kit.
The move followed A4 Laser Labels’ 2023 acquisition of Interket’s ‘UK Stationery/Office Products’ business segment. The business said it had recently made another acquisition that would see more machinery arriving this month and increase turnover. Further details on the new acquisition have not yet been made public.
The company’s current turnover is £3.7m and it said it hoped to achieve £4m by the end of the financial year.
A4 Laser Labels offers a wide range of products, including sheet, on-roll, fanfold, and sprocket-fed labels, with both standard and bespoke options available. In 2021 the business achieved ISO 9001-2015 certification, while in November 2024 it became FSC accredited.
