Zebra wins repro contract for Co-operative magazine

Zebra, the London-based pre-press specialist, has won the repro contract for the launch of The Co-operative's new quarterly customer magazine.

The 64pp glossy A4 title with a 4pp cover is published by River Publishing and has a circulation in excess of 500,000.

Production director at River Publishing Nigel Mackay said: "Zebra was the natural choice to manage the repro work for The Co-operative Magazine. From experience, we know they excel in the retouching of images, particularly food photography – a dominant theme throughout the Co-operative Magazine."

Zebra is responsible for the repro on all of The Co-operative Magazine's editorial pages, managing images and text layout and creating the printready PDFs.

Daniel Simpson, sales director at Zebra, said: "Zebra is delighted to extend its relationship with River to include another top retail brand. High-quality print is an extremely effective way for a brand to communicate with its public and differentiate itself from the rest of the market place.

"Effective colour management and attention to detail in the retouching of images is critical in helping to achieve the outstanding results that top brands, like The Co-operative Group, require."

The launch issue of The Co-operative Magazine was published in June and mailed out to the Co-operative Group's 500,000 UK members. It is also being sold in store, with a cover price of 75p.
