X-Rite, which announced a strategic partnership with HP in September last year, has been working with Canon to develop the X-Rite i1-Process Control software.
X-Rite vice president of imaging and media Iris Mangelschots said: “Historically, digital technology has not offered high-quality and colour-accurate output at this price point.
“We worked closely with Canon to develop this exclusive version of our i1-Process Control software.”
X-Rite has claimed the software will allow printers to deliver proofs to Fogra 27 and 39 standards, as well as accurate Pantone spot colours.
