Wyke cuts chemistry costs by 30% with plate switch

Wyke Printers has reported a 30% drop in its chemistry spend since it installed a Fujifilm FLH-Z 125 processor and switched to Fuji's Brillia HD LH-PJE plates.

Peter Hancock, plateroom manager at the Hull-based printer, said: "We decided to review our plates and processors to investigate how we could achieve better plate consistency and less downtime.

"Since installing the FLH-Z 125 processor in December 2008, we have already benefited from substantial chemistry cost savings of 30% and our makeready times have reduced considerably."

Fujifilm UK marketing manager Graham Leeson stressed the environmental credentials of the FLH-Z 125 processor, which incorporates Fuji's ZAC microprocessor control system to help achieve consistent production while cutting down on chemical usage.
