Warehouse expands Bay Mailing hand-finishing

Bay Mailing is expanding its hand finishing division with the opening of a purpose built 18,288m2 warehouse and the creation of additional jobs.

Managing director Tim Brawn said the move was  prompted by contracts and that had been work secured for the Cornwall-based mailing house, including some from the closure of near neighbour Ailec Mailing Services.

Brawn said the warehouse, close to the firm's existing site in St Austell, will open later this month, while additional investment has also been made in new equipment.

He declined, however, to specify precisely what type of machinery would be coming in to the warehouse.

Bay Mailing was established in 2001 and once the expansion is complete will employ around 60 staff.

The firm's clients include The London Print Company, Media Partners and Hawkins Motors.
