Ultimatum Engineering signs Bordeaux deal

Ultimatum Engineering has signed an agreement to sell Bordeaux Digital PrintInk’s UV and UV LED inks in the UK.

Effective immediately, the West Lancashire-based business, which provides engineering support and inks for UV curable flatbed printers, will now be able to offer its customers Bordeaux non-OEM inks for a range of devices including the Fujifilm Acuity and Canon Océ Arizona printers.

Bordeaux launched its new printer specific inks for these two machines at Fespa in Cologne, Germany in May.

According to Bordeaux, the inks can be easily installed without printer downtime and include compatible chip and packaging or bulk system bags.

Ultimatum Engineering managing director Eddie Tucker said: “Ultimatum continues to expand its Océ Arizona and Fujifilm Acuity community, with a huge list of Bordeaux converted machine customers that are ready to share their experiences of this unity.”

Bordeaux marketing director Guy Evron added: “The professionalism of Ultimatum in the Arizona and Acuity UV printers market will leverage our customer service level in the UK market to higher grounds.

“Our high-quality inks accompanied with Ultimatum's support will definitely guarantee the best customer experience.”

Ultimatum provides engineering services for Arizona and Acuity users nationwide. It also supports Durst, Roland, Mimaki and Agfa devices, among others, and will offer full engineering support to Bordeaux costumers.

Bordeaux also develops inks for wide- and superwide-format digital printers, including Roland, Mimaki, Mutoh, HP, Seiko, Epson, Agfa, Gandi and Jeti, and for printhead technologies including Xaar, Konica Minolta, Epson, Spectra and Toshiba.

The firm's solvent, water-based and Vutek inks are also distributed in the UK by Kent-based business UK Euroconnect.
