The Meteor can also handle a range of substrates, from 70-350gsm, CS1 & CS2, textured papers, envelopes, labels and stickers. It can also print on plastics from 100-400µ thickness including PVC, polycarbonate, polyester and vinyl.

Tony Hards, joint managing director of GAE, said: "The MGi Meteor DP60 Pro's improved quality and increased production speed shows it is a serious player in the market place.

"It has evolved over the past few years to become a keen contender in an increasingly oversubscribed digital sector that is pushing printers to find niche opportunities."
