One of driving forces behind the firm's spend is the Royal Mail's planned move to size-based pricing, which Jackson believes will mean an increase in two-sided envelope printing.
"We see this as a big opportunity," he said.
The Bury, Lancashire-based envelope specialist has recently installed two of the latest two-colour perfecting presses from Halm Industries, as well as a state-of-the-art ColorMatic ink mixing system.
The 6in and 3in DXL presses have a top speed of 100,000eph, and have increased its battery of Halms to 10. The two new presses are hot on the heels of a specialist board, gusset and Tyvek over-printer installed two months ago.
Jackson is planning to grow sales by 30-35% over the next 12 months with the investment.
It's already halfway through an extension of one of its three warehouses and there are plans afoot for a new 3,000 metres squared unit on adjacent land.
"With building investments as well, this year alone I'll be spending over 500,000," said Jackson. "We're busy, it's been a great year so far, so now's the time to invest."
