One of driving forces behind the firm's spend is the Royal Mail's planned move to size-based pricing, which Jackson believes will mean an increase in two-sided envelope printing.
"We see this as a big opportunity," he said.
The Bury, Lancashire-based envelope specialist has recently installed two of the latest two-colour perfecting presses from Halm Industries, as well as a state-of-the-art ColorMatic ink mixing system.
The six-inch and three inch DXL presses have a top speed of 100,000eph, and have increased its battery of Halms to 10. The two new presses are hot on the heels of a specialist board, gusset and Tyvek over-printer installed two months ago.
Jackson is planning to grow the firm by 30-35% over the next 12 months.
Founded 19-years ago, the company employs 45 staff and is now in the process of adding to its premises. Its already halfway through an extension of one of it's three warehouses and there are plans afoot for a new 3,000m2 unit on adjacent land.
"With building investments as well, this year alone I'll be spending over 500,000," said Jackson. "We're busy, it's been a great year so far, so now's the time to invest."
