The Printed Word installs UK's first Unibind Casemaker 750A

Commercial printer The Printed Word (TPW) has installed the UK's first Casemaker 750A from Belgian manufacturer Unibind.

TPW managing director Rob Pryer said: "Unibind's bespoke work has always been finished in Belgium, while we printed it over here. Having the machine means Unibind's books can be entirely produced in this country.

"The great thing is we can also target out own customers. There is really no minimum so we can handle anything. A lot of customers, particularly corporate and education, could not guarantee the kind of minimums we needed before."

TPW has recently moved into its own facility in Billingshurst, West Sussex, having previously been based in Horsham. The company, which celebrates its 20th year in 2010, has 15 staff and a turnover of £1.5m.

The Casemaker will be debuted at Unibind's stand at Ipex, where the company will look to sell more of the machines in the UK.
